It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the news of the sudden passing of Sean Mudge this weekend. Sean was a dedicated hockey coach to both Tillsonburg Minor Hockey and South Oxford Minor Hockey.
For over a decade, Sean has been a constant presence in our rinks, taking on various roles over the years as a parent coach, a non-parent coach, and as a board member with Tillsonburg Minor Hockey. This season, Sean served as the Assistant Coach of our U13A Storm team. Sean had such a love for hockey in our community and an even deeper care for the kids and families who make up our hockey community. He gave countless hours to supporting hockey in our community.
We mourn not only the loss of a dedicated volunteer, but of a friend and a mentor. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and loved ones as they navigate this unimaginable loss. He will be deeply missed, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Sean. Thank you for everything you gave to our hockey community.
