GENERAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Please check your player’s profile that these documents are appearing and upload any missing items (birth certification and proof of residency).

 

All new players to minor hockey are required to upload their birth certificate and proof of residency (photo of a parent's driver's license or utility bill that matches the registration address) and the Respect in Sport Parent Certificate attached to their profile.

*U21 fees are under review.

Uniform Kit Fee**: This fee applies to U10A and/or any first year entries to South Oxford.  Players needing replacement jerseys, socks, pant shells etc. due to wear and tear or growth can order the replacement pieces needed and do not require to purchase the entire kit.


*** Uniform fees cannot be included into the optional payment plan.
*** These fees are due in full to the team account by August 31st. 

 

NEW this year: Payment will be accepted by credit card (VISA or MC) at the time of registration. E-Transfer payments will continue to be available as well.

Optional – Payment Plan: U10 to U16


You will have the option to pay in full up front or to pay in installments. The installments schedule will be:

  • Upon Registration: 10% of fee
  • June 15, 2024: 34% of balance after initial payment
  • July 15, 2024: 33% of balance after initial payment
  • August 15, 2024: 33% of balance after initial payment
    ** U10-U16 players with any outstanding fees will not be permitted to participate in any scheduled ice, or off ice training until paid in full. 


Optional Payment Plan: U18/U21
 

  • Upon Registration: 10% of fee
  • October 1, 2024: 34% of balance after initial payment
  • November 1, 2024: 33% of balance after initial payment
  • December 1, 2024: 33% of balance after initial payment
    ** U18 & U21 players with any outstanding fees following December 1st will not be permitted to participate in any scheduled ice, or off ice training until paid in full. 




** Delinquent Player Accounts will result in suspension from any team activity, until the Player account is returned to good standing.


Base Registration Fees cover the following expenses:

- Ice time
- Referee costs
- Timekeeper costs
- Insurance
- OMHA and Hockey Canada fees
- League fees
- Administration (website, GameSheet app)


ADDITIONAL FEES DETAILS


Rep Team Tryout Fee

$100 Tryout fee includes tryout jersey that players will own.

Players will a tryout jersey from last season are able to bring their jersey and the tryout fee is reduced to $80.

The tryout fee permits an eligible player to tryout for the Rep/A team in his/her age category.  Each player may skate in a minimum of 3 of the first tryout sessions before being eligible for release from that team. Please note that tryout fees are non-refundable after the player joins the first tryout session.

Rep Fees

Players who are selected for and rostered on a Rep/A team are charged a fee to supplement the cost of additional ice received by the team (longer ice times, majority full ice practices and longer game times).

Please review the payment schedule for anyone wishing to stagger payments.  Rep fees will need to be purchased using the online registration system (HCR 3.0/Spordle Account). Parents of players selected to a rep team shall access the registration system and "register" for their child's designated Rep Fee.

Skills Development Fee

The fees for skill development include 2 team dry-land sessions (off-ice) and 2 on-ice development sessions per month, all to be run by high-quality, experienced skill and strength coaches. 

The dryland and on-ice sessions will be specifically geared towards each of the respective age groups to ensure all players get the most benefit from these training sessions. It will progress throughout the season as their abilities develop. The goal of these sessions is to build a consistent, progressive development model that will grow the players’ physical abilities, overall skill set, understanding of the game and confidence. 

The skill development program aims to add value and help support the competitiveness of South Oxford Minor Hockey. 


Uniform Kit Fee

Players selected for a team will be fitted with 2 proper sized (home & away) pro-style jerseys, with the following features:

BREATHABILITY Built-in pinpoint ventilation. Additional underarm porthole mesh for maximum thermal regulation on select products.

DURABILITY Double Shoulders, Double Elbows (Pro Styles). Battle tested.

MOBILITY Premium quality construction offers a full range of motion.

Each jersey will include sewn on logo, and numbers. This allows the same jersey to be used multiple years with a number change, if ever needed.

The jersey fee also includes, colour matched, (home and away) performance socks (Authentic Pro Striping & Colours, Built-in velcro tabs, Elastic cuffs, ergonomic fit) as well as matching hockey pant shell (Nylon belt with buckle, reinforced attachment loops and pro stripping).

 

Team Fees

Players may be asked to pay a "TEAM FEE" to the player's team to cover additional costs that will be incurred by the team during the season.  Team fees are set, collected and managed by individual teams/coaches, and are separate from and in addition to the rep fee payable to SOMH.


Payments

Our preferred payment will be through e-transfers. Credit card payments can be accepted at the time of registration only.

  • Players full name: (if multiple players, please list all) 
  • Fee remittance details (if you are paying for more than just the base registration, state what items you are paying for)

Sponsorships & Fundraising

Subject to board review and approval, individual player sponsorships and team fundraisers will be permitted to help offset fees for players.

All fundraisers must be approved by SOMH board.

 

SOMH Refund Policy

All requests for refunds are subject to approval by the executive.  Requests will be denied if the player and/or parent/guardian have been suspended due to a breach of SOMH’s code of conduct.

 

All decisions will be final. The applicable refund rates will be applied:

-       -  No refunds will be provided for Tryouts after a player has stepped on the ice

-       -  50% of the base registration fees for any cancelations through to November 1st.

-       -  Rep Fee refunds are to TBD

-       -  No refunds on Uniform Kits

-       -  No refunds will be provided for any cancelations after November 1st.
