Putting the fire out on the Dragons again!
This past Monday night the South Oxford 3E Power U18 Storm hosted the Dorchester Dragons at the storm shelter in Tillsonburg.
The boys were coming off a weekend tournament in East Gwillimbury feeling tired, run down and definitely not 100% but looking to bounce back against the Dragons.
Both teams came out throwing the body but it was Josh Robles that opened the scoring for the Storm with Jeremy Stiles getting the assist on the goal. Dorchester tied the game with just over a minute left in the period.
In the second the boys put some pressure on the Dragons and it paid off as Liam Nunn gave the boys the lead. Wyatt Thompson had the helper on the goal.
As the final period started the boys built on the lead with Liam Nunn getting his second of the game with Ethan Crosset and Wyatt Thompson getting the assists. Johnny Lamers added to the lead with Cale Arvai getting the assist. The Dragons were able to get one back, but that was as close as they would get and Riley Vyse led the boys to the 4-2 win.
The South Oxford 3E Power U18 Storm head to New Hamburg tonight to take on the Jr. Firebirds for a possible playoff preview in the pivotal match up.
Good luck boys!!!
