Playoff game # 2.
Last Saturday afternoon the South Oxford 3E Power played their second playoff game of the round robin play. The boys headed to Mt. Brydges.
The Cougars have been a thorn in the side of the Storm throughout the season and they did again in this game.
In the first period, the Cougars scored the lone goal of the period taking a 1-0 lead to the middle frame. In the second period, Mt. Brydges would add to the lead, but Noa Black would cut that lead half with Liam Nunn getting the assist on the goal. Unfortunately, the Cougars would add another taking a 3-1 lead into the third.
In the final frame the boys would go to the power play twice in two minutes and capitalized on both evening the score. Cale Arvai scored the first with Josh Robles and Quinn Lessif getting the assists. Liam Nunn would score the other power play goal with Nate crane getting he helper. With the boys gaining momentum, they would take a costly penalty late in the game and Mt. Brydges would take advantage scoring the game winner. They would add an empty net goal making the final 5-3.
The South Oxford 3E Power U18 Storm will play a huge game Friday night at the storm shelter in Tillsonburg against St. Mary's.
