Playoff game # 3 vs St. Mary's
Last night the South Oxford 3E Power U18 Storm took on the St. Mary's Rock at the storm shelter in Tillsonburg.

The was a huge game for both teams as they try to remain in first and second place in their playoff pool.

This was a defensive struggle with solid defense and fantastic goaltending being the story. Jaxon Pinard may have played his best game of the season along side a defense that shut down a high power Rock offence.

In the opening frame, the storm would score the lone goal on the power play when Chase McCallum would beat the netminder with Liam Nunn and Nathan Crane getting the helpers.

In the middle frame, The Rock would fire 18 shots at the Pinard, but he was up to the test stopping all the shots and keeping the score 1-0 going into the final frame.

In the third, the defense did their part by blocking shot after shot and not allowing the Rock to tie the game. With just over a minute remaining and the Rock net empty Josh Robles would seal the win by scoring into the empty net. Jaxon Pinard led the boys to the 2-0 victory and sole possession of first place.

The South Oxford 3E Power U18 Storm head to Strathroy tomorrow night at 6pm for another huge game.

Good Luck boys!!!
