Congratulations to our 𝗨𝟭𝟭𝗕 ETBO Tool & Die South Oxford Storm Team for the Championship win at the Belle River Memorial Tournament this weekend!
The Storm U11B Team took on a last minute tournament. This ended up being an amazing weekend for the boys. They went 6-0 in the tournament and came home with the gold. They also had some lasting memories to be proud of.
In game 1 the team came out to play against the Talbot Trail Blazers and won the 3-0.
Game 2 the team did not slow down and defeated the Windsor Jr Spitfires 9-2.
Game 3 the Storm came out firing against a tough home team the Belle River Jr Canadians, scoring 4 goals in the first period. Belle River fought back. However the Storm came out with a 4-1 win.
For game 4 the Storm was not letting off the gas and defeated the Lake Erie North Stars 7-1. Finishing the round robin 4-0.
Due to a points system the Storm finished in 2nd place and was lined up to battle the Elgin Thames 73's in an early 7:30am Semi-Final game. This game was a grueling back and forth matchup that ended up going to Overtime. The Storm would score with 59 seconds remaining in 3 on 3 OT. Final 6-5.
That win put the storm into the finals against the other 5-0 team the Centre Wellington Fusion. The Storm came out to an early 2-0 lead. However the Fusion would not slow down. Some excellent defensive play and hard forward back checking would not let Fusion catch up. The final score for the Champions was 3-2.

The coaching staff would like to thank the parents for an excellent weekend and the players on a great memory.
