Congratulations to South Oxford Storm Rep C Entec for coming home with the silver medal this past weekend!
What an unforgettable weekend for the U13 Rep C South Oxford
Storm! It’s clear that Coach Lance couldn't be prouder of what our squad
accomplished. Winning the first five games was a remarkable achievement, and
while they narrowly lost in overtime in the final, the effort and dedication
they showed on the ice was nothing short of incredible.
Game 1 on September 22nd was a strong start against the
Belle River Canadiens, with our Storm taking a 4-1 victory. They set the tone
for an exciting weekend ahead.
In Game 2, our boys faced off against the Kent Cobras. After
a nail-biting scoreless first period, our team rallied and clinched a thrilling
3-2 victory, showcasing their teamwork and determination.
The morning of the next day, Game 3 saw us battling the
Tecumseh Eagles. The Storm demonstrated their scoring prowess, securing a 5-2
win. Caleb's hat trick was a highlight, illustrating our offensive prowess.
Game 4 was a hard-fought match against the Talbot Trail
Blazers, but our boys rose to the occasion, securing a 5-1 win. Their strength
and teamwork were truly impressive.
In Game 5, we squared off against the Tecumseh Eagles once
more, and our team continued their dominant performance with a 5-1 victory. It
was clear that the Storm were determined to maintain their winning streak.
The final game against the Canadians took us into overtime,
and although we narrowly lost 3-2 in a 3-on-3 match-up, the boy’s heart and
dedication throughout the weekend were truly commendable.
This weekend showcased the remarkable growth and resilience
of our Storm team. We couldn't be prouder of our young athletes, and we're
eagerly looking forward to what the rest of the season holds. A huge shoutout
to Coach Lance, our manager Tracy, and the entire team for their outstanding
performance!
Congrats to the entire team!!
