Storm roll over Stars!!
On Saturday night the South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm hosted the St. Thomas Jr. Stars at the barn in Ingersoll.
The young tentative stars came into Ingersoll and were overwhelmed from the opening face off. Eli North opened the scoring for the boys less than two minutes into the game. The boys made it 2-0 when Ethan Kish scored his first of four on the night. Eli North received the helper on the goal. The boys continued to control the period and Jeremy Stiles expanded the lead heading into the second period.
In the second frame, the captain Cole Shoup took a nice pass from Jeremy Stiles and went bar down as the game started to get out of reach. Kolten Winkworth had the other helper on the goal. Stiles scored his second of the game with Noa Black and Braylon Jacques getting the helpers. Ethan Kish scored back to back goals near the end of the period making it 7-0 going into the final period. Liam Nunn had assists on both goals and Eli North received the assist on one.
In the third period, Noa Black opened the scoring with the assist going to the captain Cole Shoup. Eli North would score his second of the game with Ethan Kish and Brock McDowell getting the helpers on the goal. Kish would round out the scoring for the South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm with North getting another helper.
Jaxon Pinard and Riley Vyse combined for the shut out leading the South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm to a convincing 10-0 victory.
The South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm head to the Woodstock Silver Stick regional tournament this weekend healthy and hungry for success. They play Friday night at 9pm vs. the Western Mustangs white team.
Followed by a Saturday afternoon 1pm game vs. the Welland Tigers and a 6:35pm tilt with the host Woodstock Navy Vets.
