Last game of the playoff round
On Wednesday night, the South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm played their final playoff game of the round robin against Mt. Brydges.
The goal for this game was to not get injured or suspended and hopefully come away with a victory. The boys accomplished all three.
In the first period there was not much to show from both teams as it was a quiet period with no goals. In the second, Jeremy Stiles opened the scoring on the power play with Ethan Kish and Eli North getting the helpers on the goal. The Cougars tied the game shortly after but the boys scored again on the power play when Urijah Jewkes scored from the point. Ethan KIsh and Tyler Fleming had the assists on the goal.
The boys scored two more in the final frame. Eli North made it 3-1 with Liam Nunn and Cole Shoup getting the assists and the Captain Cole Shoup rounded out the scoring late with an unassisted goal.
Riley Vyse was solid in net for the boys leading them to the 4-1 victory.
The South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm now shift their focus on the St. Mary's Rock. The championship series will take place the week after March break. Dates and times TBD.
