Championship series game 3
On Thursday night, the South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm hosted the St Mary's Rock in game three of their championship series.  Winner moves onto the provincial championships and the loser is done for the season.

It was a loud and boisterous crowd at the barn in Ingersoll.  Both teams were pumped for the all or nothing game.  In the first, both teams were trying to establish their dominance in the period but both goalies were solid in net.  Late in the period a St. Mary's player had a little room and made no mistake giving the Rock the lead heading into the second period.

In the second frame, the boys tried to find a way but had trouble controlling the puck and the Rock scored two more times in the middle frame taking a 3-0 leading.  With the boys on the powerplay, Liam Nunn slammed a rebound into the back of the net cutting the lead to two heading into the third period.  Noa Black and Cole Shoup had the helpers on the goal.

In the final frame, the boys needed to try and find a way to get back into the game but the Rock went into shut down mode and didn't give the boys many opportunities.  With the net empty, the boys tried everything they could but the Rock were able to score on the empty net making the final 4-1.

With the loss, the South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm's season has come to an end. It was a very successful season for the boys.  The had a very good team but even more then that, they were a bunch of great kids led by an amazing coaching staff and the best parent group around.  We don't know what will happen come next hockey season, but good luck to all the players and coaches.

A big thank you to all of the sponsor's throughout the season.  Without your support, the successful season could not have happened.
