Mauled by the cougars
On Sunday night, the South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm headed to Mt. Brydges to try and tame the cougars.
In the first, both teams were trading scoring chances and big hits. The Cougars would open the scoring midway through the period but Eli North would answer back with Liam Nunn getting the assists.
It was much of the same in the second period with Mt. Brydges taking the lead and boys answering back. Jeremy Stiles would tie the game once again with the helpers going to Brody Huitema and Noa Black.
In the final frame, the Cougars would take the lead and this time they would add to it. With the boys down by two, Jeremy Stiles cut the lead to one with Eli North getting the assist. Unfortunately, this is as close as they would get and the final score was 4-3 for Mt. Brydges.
Riley Vyse was solid for the boys in a losing cause. The South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm's next game is Sunday night in Strathroy against the Rockets.
Good luck boys!!
