Road trip to"Strathvegas"
Last night the South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm hit the road to Strathroy to take on the Rockets.
In the first period, both teams were trying to gain an advantage on each other. Late in the period Strathroy took the lead when they found a loose puck and made no mistake taking the lead going into the second.
In the second frame, the boys woke up and took control of the period scoring three times. Cole Shoup scored first when he went top shelf glove side evening the score. Noa Black scored late in the period helping the boys take the lead, with Ethan Kish and Liam Nunn getting the helpers. Eli North rounded out the scoring in the period with the assist going to Brody Huitema.
In the final frame, the boys tried going into shut down mode, but got themselves into some penalty trouble with the help of some very questionable calls. Strathroy made the boys pay twice evening the score. Neither team was able to break the tie making the final 3-3.
Riley Vyse was solid in net for the boys. The South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm play twice this weekend when they host St. Mary's night on Saturday in Ingersoll and Norfolk on Sunday afternoon in Tillsonburg.
