Physical game vs. Strathroy
Last night, the South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm hosted Strathroy at barn in Ingersoll.

This was the second game in as many nights and it was a physical game.  These two teams have developed a rivalry built on physical play and respect for one another.  It was no different last night.

In the first period, bodies were flying but no pucks were entering the net.  The goalies stood tall throughout the game.

In the second, the boys were caught on their heels a bit and Strathroy made them pay when they opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal.   The boys were trying to even the score but the Strathroy netminder was terrific.

In the third, the boys started to take control of the play and it paid off when Liam Nunn broke free and went top shelf evening the score.  The captain Cole Shoup and Eli North had the helpers on the goal.  With the momentum building, Adam Cvitkovic took a beautiful pass from Liam Nunn and buried his shot less then a minute later and helping the boys take the lead.  The boys went into shut down mode, not allowing the Rockets near the starting goalie Riley Vyse.  A shout out to the six defense who did whatever it took to protect the lead by blocking shots and protecting their goalie.  Riley Vyse who was terrific in the game leading the South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm to the 2-1 victory.

The South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm play a home and home with St. Thomas on and Sunday and Monday.  Good luck boys.
