Another Opportunity!!!
Last night, the South Oxford U16 BrokerLink Storm headed to Dorchester for a huge tilt with the Dragons and another opportunity to play for the Shamrock Championship.
This game was huge because with the win, they would face the St. Mary's Rock for a chance at the OMHA championships.
In the first, neither team wanted to make that pivotal mistake and it showed as neither team could break the scoreless draw.
In the second, the boys showed signs of life and because of a fortunate bad line change left Liam Nunn wide open on the breakaway. Nunn made no mistake going low blocker side taking the lead. Eli North was credited with the assist on the goal. Shortly after that the captain Cole Shoup added to the lead going bar down, with Noa Black getting the helper. With the boys shorthanded, Eli North was sent in the breakaway and he went low glove side making it 3-0 going into the final frame. Ethan Kish had the assist.
In the third, the boys went into shut down mode not allowing Dorchester many chances. Jaxon pinard was fantastic leading the boys to the 3-0 victory. With the win, the boys will play St. Mary's in the Shamrock championship series with the winner getting the opportunity to head to Whitby for the OMHA championships.
The boys have one more game on Wednesday night in Tillsonburg against Mt. Brydges
